The Equality Act 2010 makes it illegal for employers and premises owners to discriminate against workers and visitors because of a disability. Aside from various other areas, the Act provides that employers and premises owners must make ‘reasonable adjustments’ to avoid placing a person with a disability at a disadvantage.
